A Message from our band director, Susie Marin:
I am pleased to announce MER 2021 will be returning for full in-person practices, summer camps, and performances. Our county is moving towards the yellow tier, the availability of vaccines is increasing and soon to be approved for 12+ students, and we will return to full in-person school in the Fall, allowing MER to proceed with a full schedule.
Safety is still the top priority as is bringing students back. Many students have suffered with the isolation and lack of activity. All safety protocols will be strictly adhered to. To further build safety within the group, vaccinations, when available, are strongly encouraged.
Our first activity to prepare students for MER 2021 is a Workshop on May 13-15, Thursday & Friday from 3:00-6:00pm and Saturday from 9:00-2:30pm. All MER winds, percussion, and color guard are included. We will be dusting off the cobwebs and refreshing marching skills. For our incoming new members and current 9th graders this will be their first experiences in marching band; over half the group will be new.
MER 2021 will be in-person; no virtual option will be available. Please complete the online form.
